Communications Director of Asante Kotoko’s Sarfo Duku has revealed that Nsoatreman FC have yet to contact the club following the passing of Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley.

The devoted Kotoko supporter was tragically stabbed during a match against Nsoatreman on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Despite the involvement of the 2024 FA Cup champions, Duku disclosed during a press conference that the club is still waiting for official communication from Nsoatreman amid growing calls for justice.

“There has been no official contact from Nsoatreman, and we are still waiting to hear from them,” he stated.

This silence led fans to speculate about a possible rift between the two Ghana Premier League clubs. However, Duku quickly dismissed these rumors, insisting there is no tension between the teams in the aftermath of the incident.

“We are not at war with Nsoatreman. We are one people, and we are all fighting for a just cause. The incident has happened, and we will ensure that justice is served. However, we remain a family and will work together to prevent such occurrences in the future,” he added.

In the meantime, Asante Kotoko have announced their decision to return to action after initially boycotting matches following the tragic loss of their fan.
