The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has stated that the government has completed over 30 hospitals under the Agenda 111 Project.

Speaking with GHOne’s Serwaa Amihere on November 16, 2024, he said, “We have completed some. accept it. Let Ghanaians know. Look at the ambulances that we are enjoying; okay, look at Agenda 111. We have completed about 30 to 35. Where are they? You can search; you are a journalist; google, now google.

“Now if you go to the Atwima Kwanwoma one, we are completing. Agenda 111 is one hundred and eleven, and we are going to complete about 30 to 35 this year. We have completed some.”

Wontumi’s comments come as part of ongoing discussions about the progress of the government’s flagship health initiative, with many questioning the status of the project and whether the promised facilities are operational.

The objective of the Agenda 111 project, as envisioned by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is to ensure that people across the country have access to quality healthcare services.

The project aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3), which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all, reflecting the government’s commitment to achieving universal healthcare for all citizens.
