Black Stars forward, Antoine Semenyo has revealed that the team is in good spirit ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

According to Semenyo, they have a good team and believe that they can win the two games to further increase their chances of making it to the World Cup in USA, Mexico and Canada.

“We have a good team and we feel good so hopefully we can win the games and move forward,” Antoine Semenyo said after the team’s training on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He also spoke about the team’s inability to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

‘I hope we win against Chad’ – Black Stars coach Otto Addo

“We feel good, we are top on the table at the moment so we just need to finish the job (qualify for the World Cup.)”

The Black Stars will take on Chad on Matchday 7 and host Mali in a Matchday 8 fixture. Coach Otto Addo’s side will face Chad at Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025.
