Former Vice President and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has commended the members of his party for showing unity and strength during its 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference, held on Saturday, July 19, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The Conference, themed “Rebuilding Together With Our Values”, was aimed at promoting unity and harmony and working together to recapture power in 2028.

‎Dr Bawumia acknowledged the difficult period the party is facing following its defeat in the 2024 election, but praised its ability to remain resilient. ‎

He said the conference was a powerful symbol of collective resolve.

In a social media post, he extended his appreciation to the rank and file of the party for their presence and support, emphasising that the event marks a significant step in the NPP’s mission to reclaim power in 2028. ‎

He wrote, “Today, the @NPP_GH once again demonstrated our resilience, even in challenging times. As part of our rebuilding efforts, the National Delegates Conference held at the University of Ghana provided a vital opportunity to make significant amendments to our constitution. ‎”This marks a major step forward in our mission to return the Party to power in 2028.”

‎He continued,” I am deeply grateful to all the delegates and the rank and file of the Party for their dedicated participation. As our delegates journey back home, I pray for safe travels and wish all patriots a restful and fulfilling weekend. Kukrudu!!!!”
