A video of the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, declining to speak to a journalist about his recent ordeal with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has gone viral online.

It will be recalled that on August 5, EOCO stormed Shatta Wale’s residence and seized his Lamborghini Urus, which was allegedly linked to a fraud-related investigation.

In response, Shatta Wale lashed out at Raymond Archer, accusing him of treating him like a criminal.

In a Facebook post, Shatta alleged that EOCO sent 13 armed officers to his home in what he described as an act of severe intimidation.

Following the allegations, EOCO issued a press statement clarifying that the operation was peaceful and followed standard procedure.

However, during the wreath-laying ceremony held in honour of the eight victims of the recent helicopter crash, Raymond Archer was approached by a journalist and asked to comment on the Shatta Wale incident.

These young artistes may just be on track to becoming Ghana’s next music legends

    He respectfully declined.

He then said, “Oh, for Shatta Wale, we are grieving, so let us finish with that.”
