The interim head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has emphasized that his team is eager to clinch the 2025 MTN FA Cup trophy.

The Porcupine Warriors are in the semi-finals of the competition and will face fellow Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea this weekend.

Speaking in a pre-match interview ahead of the fixture, Coach Abdul Karim Zito said his team is determined to fight for a place in the final.

He, however, admitted that the game against Berekum Chelsea will be very challenging.

“It’s never easy. It’s very difficult. I know what he [Coach Samuel Boadu] can do as a coach. It’s been a long time since we won this cup, so we are all eager to win, and I know it won’t be easy for us. It will be very difficult,” Coach Zito said.

The MTN FA Cup semi-final match between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea will be played on Sunday, May 11.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m. at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.

Before that, the first semi-final match between Golden Kick and Attram De Visser Sporting Club will take place at the same venue on Saturday, May 10.
