Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah
Former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, has jokingly poked at the Black Stars’ World Cup opponents after the draw on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Washington DC.
The Black Stars will face Panama, 1966 champions England and 2018 runners-up Croatia in Group L at the World Cup.
Appiah, who led Ghana to their first tournament in 2006, is currently a member of the management team of the national team and observed the draw on Friday.
After Ghana’s opponents were confirmed, Appiah took to social media to state how confident the West Africans are, adding a video from the movie Beast of No Nation.
He wrote on Instagram: “England, Croatia, Ghana and Panama, we are COMING!”
The venues and times for the matches will be revealed on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Washington.
