Latifa Teiya Fuseini’s accomplishment as the Overall Best Student at the Ghana School of Law for 2025, during her call to the Bar on October 10, 2025, after successfully passing her exams, appears to have brought so much pride and joy to her family.

Her father, ABA Fuseini, a former Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, like any proud parent, could not hide his excitement.

He has been captured in various video interviews speaking highly of his daughter after her remarkable accomplishment.

During an appearance on Pan African TV with his daughter on October 13, 2025, and monitored by GhanaWeb, the former lawmaker was asked about his daughter’s bride price.

In response, he playfully said that he would demand an elephant, signifying the high value he places on his daughter’s accomplishments.

“The bride price, I will demand an elephant,” he said, with his response sending everyone seated into a fit of laughter, including Latifa.

ABA Fuseini also took the opportunity to share with the public the immense pride and joy that his daughter’s recognition as the 2025 Overall Best Student at the Ghana School of Law has brought to their family.

As a staunch Muslim, he attributed the achievement to Allah.

“Since the award was given, I can tell you without any iota of doubt, my family has been exhilarated. We are so, so happy. We can only give unquantifiable thanks to Allah, the giver, the sustainer, and the one who makes things happen,” he indicated.

The politician further highlighted his daughter’s dedication and commitment in achieving her feat, stating that there were times when she skipped sleep to study, emphasising that she put in hard work to earn her accomplishment.

“But for her, I can tell you that it has been a lot of work. There were times she would be there up till 2 to 3 am. I would wake up and come and say ‘Teiya, take some rest and go to sleep’. She will say, ‘Daddy, I don’t think I’m there yet, I’ve not got what I want to do’ and she will continue till daybreak. Even sometimes eating is a problem. She put in monumental work,” he added.
