Hundreds of mourners, fans, and dignitaries gathered at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 13, 2025, as Ghana finally bade farewell to Highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
The funeral went ahead as planned after the numerous legal battles from the musician’s maternal family that had threatened to delay it till mid March 2026.

Among the numerous videos that has surfaced from the funeral, one that captures the second wife of the musician called Odo Broni, who is known in private life as Priscilla Ofori crying as her tribute to Daddy Lumba was being read has gone viral.
In the video, she is seen visibly emotional as she is as flanged by family when the tribute was being read on her behalf.
Another thing that has got many talking is the words of her tribute that have caused a stir across social media.
Many netizens have described her choice of words as a subtle jab at Daddy Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa Fosuh and other members of Lumba’s maternal family.
In her tribute, Odo Broni spoke directly to the memory of Daddy Lumba, celebrating the love, protection, and care he gave her and their children.
Among the notable lines, she called on the spirit of Lumba to fight and prove he actually loved her and treated her and their children well when he was alive, as she also declared that she will not bow to their cruelty.
She urged that the truth of their love should rise above falsehoods, with many interpreting her words as defending her place in Daddy Lumba’s life and legacy.
