Controversial Ghanaian rapper Don Elijah Birdman ended his recent interview on GHOne TV with a compliment to the host of the show which some people consider to be risque.

The musician and fashion enthusiast, who had the chance to promote his work to the public during the interview, expressed his admiration for Serwaa Amihere.

    “I didn’t give you a compliment. You look beautiful, I wish…”

The remark appeared to momentarily shock Serwaa Amihere, likely leaving her wondering what the musician intended to say.

Don Elijah Birdman also recently caused a stir on social media with a comment about the value of his necklace.

In an interview on GHOne TV on November 7, 2024, the rapper revealed that a necklace he bought in 2014 was originally worth $450,000. He insisted that due to the current dollar-to-cedi exchange rate, the necklace would now cost $1 million.

“I bought the necklace 10 years ago, and it cost me $450,000. But because the dollar has gone up, it’s worth $1 million now. I’ve been in the music business for over 25 years, and I exchange money when I travel abroad,” he said.

He further stated that he had a record label before rapper Sarkodie rose to fame.

“I started artists like Davido, Shatta Wale, and even Burna Boy. I registered a record label even before Sarkodie became an artist. I registered my label in 2007, and he (Sarkodie) debuted in 2009. I even created the brand ‘Abodam,’ which Kwaw Kese later adopted,” he added.

He forgot he was live on air or what? 😂😂💔💔
