Liverpool fans welcomed Mohamed Salah with massive cheers when he was introduced into the game against Brighton & Hove Albion on December 13, 2025.

The Premier League match, eagerly anticipated by supporters for Salah’s performance, saw the Egyptian attacker receive loud applause as he impressed on the field.

Salah provided an assist for Hugo Ekitike’s second goal to seal the victory and contributed significantly to both attack and defense.

After the game, the Premier League star walked around the Anfield pitch to applaud supporters for standing by him during recent challenging moments. The fans responded by singing in unison; “Mo Salah, Mo Salah, Mo Salah, running down the wing,” continuously.

277 and out? Liverpool’s Salah turns record breaker again

Earlier, Salah had said he felt “thrown under a bus” and had no relationship with coach Arne Slot after being left on the bench for Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Leeds on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

It was the third successive game in which Salah had been excluded from the starting line-up amid a dip in form this season.

He was also dropped from the squad that beat Inter Milan 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League, with coach Arne Slot explaining it was part of measures to address the situation.

However, Salah returned to the squad for the Brighton game, receiving a hero’s welcome from the Anfield faithful.
