Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, once again demonstrated his magnanimity by clearing a man’s GH₵500 fine.

This happened after the King realized that the accused was not in a position to afford it.

In a video shared on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the accused was seen arraigned before the Asantehene at a public gathering.

When the accused’s charge was read out to him and his fine stated, the Asantehene swiftly responded, “He can’t afford that amount.” Otumfuo’s comment was met with laughter from those who had gathered.

The man was then released scot-free.
