The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Elections, Evans Nimako, has been captured sharing a light moment with the newly sworn-in Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, on the premises of the Trinity Congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Kwashieman on August 3, 2025.

In a viral video, Evans Nimako was seen conversing and exchanging pleasantries with the lawmaker in the company of other congregants.

The interaction was brief but warm.

Ewurabena Aubynn was officially sworn into Parliament earlier this month after securing victory in a fiercely contested parliamentary rerun in the Ablekuma North Constituency.

The rerun, conducted across 19 polling stations, followed the Electoral Commission’s (EC) nullification of the original December 2024 parliamentary results due to widespread electoral irregularities.

In the rerun, Aubynn polled 34,090 votes, narrowly edging out the NPP’s Akua Afriyie, who garnered 33,881 votes.
