    The Black Stars returned to a warm welcome at Kotoka International Airport after their impressive victory against the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

    Ghana trashed Central African Republic 5-0 on matchday 9 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès in Morocco on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

    The win takes Ghana to the top of Group I with 22 points, followed by Madagascar with 19 points, while Mali and Comoros occupy the third and fourth spots with 15 points each.

    Here are Black Stars’ player ratings after emphatic win over Central Africa Republic

    Ghana will face Comoros in the final group game at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025.

    A win or draw in that fixture will be enough to secure the Black Stars a place in the 2026 World Cup.

    The team arrived in Accra in the early hours of Thursday, October 9, 2025, and were greeted with cheers and applause from Ghanaians around.
