Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus was on the scoresheet as West Ham United suffered a 3-2 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on April 26, 2025.

In the build-up to the goal, defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka located his teammate Jarrod Bowen in the eighteen-yard box, whose pass Kudus notched onto to slot the ball, which passed through the legs of goalkeeper Verbruggen to find the back of the net, canceling Yasin Ayari’s goal in the 47th minute.

However, Brighton, who had the support at their Falmer Stadium home ground, bounced back into the game with goals from Mitoma and Quomo Baleba, which helped them secure a 3-2 win despite Tomas Souček scoring.

The loss sank West Ham in the Premier League table, leaving them in 17th position with 36 points after 34 games.

Mohammed Kudus has not had a good season, having scored four goals and made two assists after 28 appearances in the 2024/2025 Premier League season.

Despite the dip in performance, it is rumored that the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are willing to spend 100 million euros to secure his signature in the summer transfer window; however, it is understood that the player is yet to decide his future.
