Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew was on the scoresheet as Leicester City defeated Fiorentina in a preseason game on August 3, 2025.

The forward was involved in most aspects of the game, making dangerous runs in attack and helping win balls from the midfield.

The Ghanaian player opened the scoring in the 29th minute, calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to give his side in the lead.

Ayew was beaming with joy as his teammates joined him to celebrate the goal, boosting the team’s momentum towards victory.

In the 36th minute, Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku netted the second goal with a sublime finish, cementing a 2-0 victory for the Foxes.

The Ghanaian duo will work towards maintaining brilliant performances heading into the 2025/2026 season to secure spots in the starting lineup.

Ayew and Issahaku’s form will play a key role for the nation as Ghana prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
