    Black Stars captain, Jordan Ayew scored his first goal in the 2025/2026 English Championship for Leicester City against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

    Jordan Ayew capitalized on a misplaced pass from Cameron Brannagan in the 13th minute, where he cut inside from the right flank before powering a low shot past goalkeeper Jamie Cumming from eight yards out.

    The goal, a swift response to Will Lankshear’s ninth-minute tap-in.

    However, the joy was short-lived as Aaron Ramsey was sent off after a reckless challenge on Filip Krastev in the 24th minute, leaving Leicester with 10 men for the majority of the contest.

    Oxford capitalized just before halftime, regaining the lead through a Boubakary Soumaré’s own goal from a corner.

    Leicester, despite their numerical advantage came back stronger in the second half, with substitute Ricardo Pereira restoring parity in the 55th minute after a clever assist from fellow Ghanaian Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
