Belgium player of Ghanaian descent, Jeremy Doku, has proposed to his girlfriend, Shireen Erin Lyannda Raymond, to be his wife after being in a relationship for some time.
Jeremy was dressed in a white shirt with black trousers while his girlfriend wore a white backless attire to mark the occasion.
In a video Doku shared on his YouTube page on August 7, 2025, the Manchester City attacker, in an excited mood, informed Shireen that he wanted her to be his wife.
Shireen, who seemed surprised by Doku’s gesture, asked how the player got the idea, paused for a while smiling, and eventually agreed to the proposal.

Shireen: Jeremy, are you serious? I can’t breathe.
Doku: You are my girlfriend, but I don’t want you to stay my girlfriend. I want you to be my future wife.
Shireen: I am actually shaking. Where did you get this from? Like, where did this come from?
Doku: Don’t worry, Shireen Erin Lyannda Raymond. Do you want to marry me?
Shireen: I do.

Meanwhile, Doku recently obtained a Ghanaian passport during his visit to the country to share some moments with his extended family.
This means Doku now holds dual citizenship as he already plays for the Belgium national team.
