Samartex captain, Kofi Agbesimah is recovering after a frightening collision with his own goalkeeper left him unconscious during their MTN FA Cup Round of 16 clash against Medeama SC on Saturday, February 9, 2026.
The incident occurred in the first half of a fiercely contested encounter, when Agbesimah and his goalkeeper clashed while attempting to deal with a dangerous ball inside the box.
The impact was severe, sending immediate concern across the pitch as the skipper lay motionless on the turf.
Medical staff rushed onto the field, and after several anxious moments, Agbesimah was stretchered off and transported to the hospital for further examination.
