Chelsea Football Club cruised past Brazilian side Fluminense by 2-0 to secure their spot in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final in Miami on July 8, 2025.

The Blues outplayed their opponents in the initial stages of the match as they pressed for the opener, but they struggled to penetrate their defence.

Newly signed attacker Joao Pedro, who started the game, found the back of the net in the 18th minute with a powerful drive that went past the goalkeeper.

Fluminense ignited their performance to pile pressure on the London-based club consistently for some time but could not make an impact in the first half.

The second half began with Chelsea showcasing their dominance, with Caicedo, Fernandez, and other players making brilliant efforts to maintain the lead.

Pedro, who signed for Chelsea from Brighton and Hove Albion this season, stole the spotlight after bagging another goal to seal a 2-0 victory.

The Blues qualified for the finals, and they are awaiting the winner between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Real Madrid to play against them on July 13, 2025.

Chelsea have made a whopping sum of 80 million euros for reaching the final and are on course to earn an additional 30 million euros if they emerge champions.
