A die-hard follower of President John Dramani Mahama, Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium, has taken centre stage in the Akwatia constituency ahead of today’s by-election.

The Kumasi-based political activist and NDC supporter has launched a door-to-door campaign, wooing voters to support the NDC’s Bernard Bediako Baidoo.

Videos on social media show Appiah Stadium moving from shop to shop, introducing himself as the “famous” Appiah Stadium, the proud son of Mahama.”

His strategy involves hugging and embracing constituents with love and humility, sharing political views, and appealing to emotions to secure votes for Baidoo.

On the streets, shop owners enthusiastically took pictures with Appiah Stadium, who enjoys significant popularity in Ghana’s political arena and on social media.

A delighted voter even hugged him and took a photo, saying, “Men have come to our town today. Master, you are just too much.”
