Thomas Partey returned to the Arsenal side for their 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday, December 22, 2024.

The Ghanaian midfielder was rested in Arsenal’s 3-2 victory over Palace in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

In Saturday’s game, Partey was named in the starting eleven alongside Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz in midfield.

Thomas Partey was integral in the big win for Arsenal, setting up Gabriel Jesus’ second goal of the game.

Despite starting the game in midfield, Partey ended the game at right back after Mikel Arteta opted to substitute Jurrien Timber.

In the ninety minutes played, Thomas Partey completed 91% of his passes and created one chance, which was his assist for Arsenal’s second goal.

He completed one of his three attempted dribbles and successfully completed three out of four long balls.

He made three crucial interceptions to keep the team ticking and made six recoveries, which kept Arsenal in the game.

Despite his impressive performances for Arsenal, Partey has constantly been linked with a move away from the club.

Reports indicate that Arsenal are unwilling to meet Partey’s contract demands and will not renew his contract, which expires in the summer.

Arsenal’s five goals were scored by Gabriel Jesus (2), Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
