The Danny List Foundation successfully organised a golf clinic for Ghanaian kids at the Achimota Golf Practice Range on January 4, 2025.

The event was attended by numerous children who practised playing golf under the guidance of coaches.

Some of the kids quickly picked up the training and successfully executed solid strikes by teeing off and hitting the ball.

Danny List, the founder of the foundation that organised the event, expressed delight at the performances of the children during the training.

The Ghanaian-Australian golfer stated that his ambition is to nurture talents to represent Ghana in various international golf tournaments and to support development in other sporting disciplines.

“It feels amazing to be back here for this project. I want to see these kids get big opportunities overseas and do well. The foundation is doing great — we are focusing on training more kids in sports, and we’ve had good results.

In 2025, we got our first chess players into the foundation and we sent some of them to the world championships in Serbia, and it was great,” he told GhanaWeb Sports.

The golfer noted that although he is gradually recovering from an injury and undergoing treatment, he hopes to return to the course as early as possible and record victories.

“Right now I’m in my off-season, dealing with a little back injury, but it’s not too bad. That’s why I wasn’t able to do a demonstration — I’m still recovering.

In 2026, you should expect more from me, maybe some wins to better myself, and that’s my goal,” he told Benjamin Sackey.

The children thanked the organisers of the event and urged them to continue the exercise, noting that it has helped them enhance their golf skills and motivated them to improve further.

Parents were also impressed with the skills their children displayed and vowed to continue supporting their training so they can become more skilful.
