Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana was outstanding for Southampton in their Premier League match against Manchester United on Thursday, January 17, 2025.

Sulemana enjoyed a great game and could have scored a hat-trick but for his profligacy.

The youngster had Manchester United defender Lenny Yoro on toast as he got the better of the French defender on multiple occasions.

His performance caught the eye of Manchester United coach Reuben Amorim, who admitted that his team could not cope with the pace and power of the Ghanaian winger.

“A very difficult game. They did a very good job, Southampton, creating spaces between the lines. Their number 20 [Sulemana] had a lot of space behind, and we had a hard time stopping that player,” Amorim said after the game.

Ivorian winger Amad Diallo was the star man as Manchester United mounted a comeback to defeat Southampton 3-1.

Southampton appeared to be earning the three maximum points until Amad canceled out Ugarte’s own goal.

The Ivorian winger then scored two goals in the last four minutes to complete his hat-trick and Manchester United’s comeback.

United have, by virtue of the win, moved from 15th to 12th on the Premier League table. They have 26 points from 21 games played so far.

Southampton, on the other hand, are languishing at the bottom of the table with six points from 21 games.
