Manchester United beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, January 12, 2024, to qualify for the fourth round of the English FA Cup.

Bruno Fernandes gave Manchester United the lead with an excellent finish after Garnacho took advantage of Gabriel Magalhães’s slip and quickly passed to the midfielder.

Unfortunately for United, Diego Dalot was sent off in the 61st minute after committing a dangerous foul, giving Arsenal an advantage.

The Gunners then took control of the game, mounting pressure on Manchester United, which led to defender Gabriel scoring the equalizer.

Later, Harry Maguire brought down Kai Havertz in the box, and the referee deemed it a penalty.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard stepped up to take the penalty, but United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir dived to his left and pushed the ball away, denying Arsenal the lead.

Mikel Arteta’s men created several big chances but were unable to convert them, as Manchester United players defended brilliantly.

The game went to penalties, where Manchester United won 5-3, thanks to crucial saves by their goalkeeper Altay.

Manchester United will face Leicester City at Old Trafford on February 8, 2024 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
