Ghanaian youngster David Oduro was impressive in his debut game for the youth team of Barcelona in their match against Real Sociedad B on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

The young defender, who joined Barcelona in August, had to wait until last night to make his debut due to documentation issues.

In his first appearance, Oduro gave glimpses of his quality with some outstanding runs down the left.

Oduro, who replaced Alexis Olmedo in the 46th minute, showed great maturity and ability on the ball as he offered a lot to Barcelona Atletic both in attack and defence.

At both ends of the pitch, Oduro got involved with some intricate passes to create chances and made timely interventions to prevent goals against his club.

Oduro’s debut impressed Barcelona fans, who are clamouring for him to be transitioned into the main team to deputize for Alejandro Balde, who is Barcelona’s first-choice left-back.

Despite his delayed debut, Oduro has already experienced some first-team action as he has trained with the main Barcelona team on a few occasions.

Oduro signed a three-year deal with Barcelona from Ghanaian club Accra Lions in August.

On the back of an impressive debut, Oduro is expected to start for Barcelona Atletic when they play Lugo in the coming weekend.
