Asante Kotoko secured a narrow victory over lower-tier side Eleven Wise in their Round of 16 clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors advanced to the next stage of the domestic cup competition with a 1-0 win over Wise on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Elvis Kyei scored the only goal of the game, despite the home side creating numerous chances. However, the Reds lacked a clinical attacking edge to capitalize on their opportunities.

They have now won both games since resuming play following the passing of their devoted fan, Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley.

This fixture was a rescheduled match, and Kotoko’s victory keeps their domestic double dream alive.

Following the win, Asante Kotoko will face True Democracy in the quarterfinals, with the dates for the last eight matches yet to be announced.
