Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a brilliant goal to help Leicester City secure a 2-0 victory over Birmingham in the English Championship on August 29, 2025.

The Black Stars attacker collected the ball on the edge of the penalty box and unleashed an explosive shot past the goalkeeper just eight minutes into the game, with an assist from Ricardo Pereira.

Leicester City maintained the scoreline in the first half and continued pressing in the second half to seal the victory.

In the 88th minute, Ricardo Pereira scored the second goal, ensuring a 2-0 triumph at the King Power Stadium.

This marks Issahaku’s second goal for Leicester City in the 2025/2026 Championship season, as the club aims for promotion to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Issahaku was omitted from the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifying games in September 2025.

Sunderland’s ambitious move for Ghana Sensation Issahaku falls flat

The Ghana Football Association explained that the decision was due to his recent recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, allowing him more time for full rehabilitation.
