Ghanaian reggae musician David Oscar Dogbe and Germany-based Afrobeat artiste K’Daanso successfully engaged audiences in a vibrant exploration of diverse African cultural experiences at the “Afro Camp” event.

Held on September 13, 2025, from 2 pm to 6 pm at Wallufer Platz in Wiesbaden, the half-day cultural event was specifically tailored for children and drew families from diverse backgrounds.

Sponsored by the Wiesbaden Cultural Office, Afro Camp offered a playful and child-friendly environment where attendees could experience the richness of African theater, music, stories, and traditional games.

The event’s core mission was to provide insights into African ways of life within a different cultural context, fostering cross-cultural understanding.

The Afro Camp also served as a platform to bring together children from various countries and backgrounds, celebrating the diversity of its participants.

Both David Oscar Dogbe and Kdanso leveraged their musical and artistic talents to lead the audience through an interactive journey, emphasising African art, storytelling, and rhythms.

The successful engagement underscores the growing international interest in African arts and the power of cultural events to bridge communities.
