Late Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba
An old video of Daddy Lumba thrilling fans at the Afrochella festival in 2018 has resurfaced online following his passing.
The viral video captured Daddy Lumba as the only Highlife legend performing at the event, opening his set with his hit song “Bla Bla.”
The late Daddy Lumba, adorned in an all-white kaftan, thrilled the crowd and thanked them for their unwavering support throughout his career.
“I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you very much for your support throughout the years. I am very grateful,” he said.
He then went on to perform “Adepa Hye Adepa Mu,” as fans, excited by his performance, were seen imitating his iconic dance moves.
Daddy Lumba performed many of his classic hits during the concert, including “Aben Waha” and “Doctor Panee,” among others.
