Ronaldo celebrating his goal Ronaldo celebrating his goal

A Cristiano Ronaldo brace inspired Al Nasr to a 2-1 comeback victory over Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

With Al Nasr looking to close the gap at the top of the table, the home side controlled the game from the start.

However, it was Faiz Selemani, from the visitors’ side, who broke the deadlock just on the stroke of half-time.

Despite the setback, Al Nasr returned from the break brimming with confidence in their quest for all three points.

Their pressure eventually paid off as Ronaldo equalised just ten minutes into the second half.

The goal marked the Portuguese star’s 22nd of the 2024/25 campaign, and nine minutes later, he added his 23rd with a moment of magic.

As Al Nasr desperately chased the win, Sadio Mané embarked on a mazy run down the left wing.

His cross was cleared into the path of Ronaldo, who unleashed a rocket into the top corner.

The brace solidifies Ronaldo’s position as the top scorer of the current season with 23 goals, four ahead of the second-placed Abderrazak Hamdallah.

The win propels Al Nasr to third place in the SPL standings, just one point behind second-placed Al-Hilal and eight points adrift of leaders Al-Ittihad.
