Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare produced a brilliant save during their goalless draw game against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

The Ghana Premier League match, played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, was fiercely contested as both sides struggled to find the back of the net.

In the 36th minute, Dominic Frimpong unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box, which Asare impressively punched away.

The Black Stars’ number one goalkeeper’s outstanding save kept the home side in the game and prevented them from conceding in the game.

Asare continues to silence his critics with consistent performances in the Ghana Premier League ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

After 23 games, the Phobians sit third on the league table with 40 points, trailing leaders Medeama SC (45 points) and Bibiani Gold Stars (42 points). Asante Kotoko are fourth with 38 points.

Benjamin Asare’s form is expected to be crucial in Hearts of Oak’s pursuit of the league title and could further strengthen his case for a key role at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
