Asante Kotoko have officially arrived in Accra to continue preparations for their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash against Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
The Porcupine Warriors’ team bus was spotted cruising through the streets of the capital on Thursday afternoon, drawing cheers from excited fans who gathered to welcome the squad.
The players waved through the windows as chants of “Kum Apem a, Apem Beba!” echoed along the roadside.
Kotoko are in Accra after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) declined to approve the Baba Yara Stadium for the tie, forcing the Ghanaian giants to move the first-leg fixture to the Accra Sports Stadium.

The crucial encounter is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025. The Reds remain unbeaten this season and head into the game brimming with confidence after seeing off Nigeria’s Kwara United 5-3 on aggregate in the previous round.
However, they face a major test against Wydad, a side rich with continental pedigree and recent experience at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Kotoko’s arrival has already stirred excitement among their Accra fanbase, who are expected to turn up in their numbers on Sunday to create a home-away-from-home atmosphere for the Ghanaian record champions.
