Some aggrieved fans of West Ham United have called for head coach Julen Lopetegui to be relieved of his duties following the team’s embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Leicester City.

While the match was ongoing, the supporters started singing ‘you are getting sacked in the morning’ in unison to voice their displeasure.

This comes following the lack of consistent results the team has been producing, leading them to be in the middle of the league table.

After fourteen matches played, West Ham have won four, drawn three, and lost seven, accumulating just 15 points.

The team lies 14th on the league table, and if their abysmal performance continues, they could be heading to the relegation zone.

According to a SkySports report, the club hierarchy is deliberating on Lopetegui’s future and whether he should be sacked or maintained.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus was suspended for five games after he was shown a red card for misconduct during their match against Tottenham Hotspur.

During this period, the Hammers had mixed results, which raised concerns from football pundits and fans.

Kudus featured in West Ham’s 3-1 defeat to Leicester City on December 3, 2024.

Pressure has been mounting on head coach Julen Lopetegui to turn things around or face a possible sack imminently.
