President-elect John Dramani Mahama could not hide his joy as he led congregants at the Assemblies of God, Sanctuary of Wind and Fire in Tamale, during the 31st Watchnight Service in 2024 to thank the Lord for His goodness.

The soon-to-be-sworn-in President led the church members in singing the popular hymn “Praise the Lord, Let the Earth Hear His Voice” as he expressed gratitude to God for a successful year and for granting him electoral victory.

His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, were the Special Guests of Honour at the crossover service of the year, themed “Exodus 2024.”

The 31st Night, or Watchnight Service, is deeply rooted in the Ghanaian Christian tradition-a sacred moment when believers gather to reflect on the year gone by and enter the new year with renewed faith and optimism.

This annual ritual transcends denominational lines, uniting Catholics, Pentecostals, Methodists, and Charismatics in a shared quest for divine favour.
