The former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, received a hero’s welcome from his family upon his release from the custody of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

A video shared on his official Facebook page on August 2, 2025, captured the emotional reunion.

After finally meeting his bail conditions, Adom-Otchere was greeted with joyful shouts from his wife, Rosemary Adom-Otchere, his children, and close friends.

The 10-minute footage, released less than 24 hours after his departure from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and subsequently from the NIB, offered a rare glimpse into the personal impact of his recent legal challenges.

His detention is connected to an ongoing investigation into a controversial GACL contract.

Other parts of the video captured Adom-Otchere seated at the dining table, enjoying a home-cooked meal while recounting his experience to his wife.

During their conversation, his wife mentioned a significant outpouring of support from high-profile figures.

She said among those who reached out were former President Nana Akufo-Addo and former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira.

The video of his return can be viewed below
