N’Golo Kanté made his Fenerbahçe debut on February 9, 2026, featuring in the club’s 3-1 Super Lig win over Gençlerbirliği, following his move from Al Ittihad.

The World Cup and Champions League winner was introduced to roaring cheers from the home crowd.

However, it wasn’t his performance that stole the spotlight on Monday night; it was the moment that came after.

As the players walked toward the stands to acknowledge the supporters after full time, Kanté appeared slightly unsure of the routine.

That’s when his Fenerbahçe teammates stepped in.

In a wholesome scene that quickly went viral, teammates were seen guiding the ever-humble Frenchman on how to properly salute the fans, showing him the rhythm, the gestures, and the energy expected in front of the passionate Fenerbahçe faithful.

Kanté, characteristically shy, followed along with a modest smile, clearly soaking in the moment.

It was a heartwarming sight: one of football’s most decorated midfielders, still humble enough to learn, still shy enough to blush, and already embracing his new home.
