Mohammed Kudus is set for a special night in north London as he prepares to make his Champions League debut for Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who joined Spurs in the summer in a high-profile move from West Ham United, was all smiles as he arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of their opening Group Stage clash with Villarreal.
In a video making the rounds online, Kudus was spotted in a sharp attire, pausing briefly to take in the atmosphere before making his way into the stadium.
What caught the attention of many fans, however, was the 25-year-old’s subtle but symbolic gesture, running his hand across the iconic UEFA Champions League badge displayed inside the tunnel.

It was a moment that reflected both his excitement and anticipation. For Kudus, this night marks the return to a competition he once featured in with Ajax, but missed out on during his spell at West Ham.
Now at Spurs, he is back on Europe’s grandest stage, ready to prove himself under the bright lights.
Manager Thomas Frank has handed Kudus a starting berth against Villarreal, giving him the perfect stage to announce his Champions League return in style.
