Ghanaian actor and Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo, has become the centre of discussion on social media after being captured sharing items with widows in Tesano.

In a video shared on his X page on April 22, 2025, Dumelo was seen distributing items to widows on Easter Monday, as a gesture to commemorate the resurrection of Christ.

Accompanying the video was a caption in which the MP expressed joy in giving back, disclosing that he had used part of his first parliamentary salary to support the widows in Tesano, a community within his constituency.

“I spent part of my first salary as a Member of Parliament with widows in the Tesano area of Ayawaso West constituency yesterday. Easter is always a good time to share with others. God bless us all,” he wrote.

The video also captured heartwarming scenes of the widows, visibly touched by the gesture, showering praises and offering prayers for the actor-turned-politician.
