Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku pulled off Asamoah Gyan’s signature celebration after scoring in City’s win over Nottingham Forest.
Doku scored the third goal in a 3-0 victory, sealing Manchester City’s first win in eight games and ending their winless streak.
He skillfully dribbled past his marker before firing a brilliant shot into the bottom corner to grab his second Premier League goal of the season.
The Belgian winger of Ghanaian descent celebrated the goal with Asamoah Gyan’s iconic dance, pointing to the ground three times in sync with his foot movements.
Jeremy Doku has always embraced his Ghanaian heritage and often showcases it, despite representing Belgium on the international stage.
“Of course, I’m Ghanaian too because my parents are Ghanaians. I also speak Twi, which is a language in Ghana. I’ve been there once, and I’ll have to go back again because it was a long time ago,” Doku said in a previous interview on the In The Premier League Chair show.
The win puts Manchester City back on track in their title race, moving them up to fourth place in the table.
