The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) held a spectacular demonstration of their firepower and tactical skills on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Bundase Training Camp in the Greater Accra Region.

The event, part of GAF’s annual Land Combat and Fire Power Demonstration Exercise, showcased the military’s commitment to defending the nation’s territorial integrity.

This year’s exercise was conducted by the Infantry Battalion of the Lead Battalion, supported by the 1st and 5th Infantry Battalions, the 66th Artillery Regiment, the 15th Armoured Brigade, the 48th Engineers Regiment, the 17th Signal Brigade, and the Army Special Forces Brigade.

The demonstration included strategic air support from the Ghana Air Force and coastal defense manoeuvres by the Ghana Navy.

The General Officer Commanding Southern Command, Brigadier General Samuel Asare, speaking at the event, stated that the Ghana Armed Forces has the secondary role of maintaining internal security in support of civil authority in the country.

He also mentioned that the GAF is ready to address any threats facing the country.

The demonstration highlighted the GAF’s ability to conduct joint operations and respond effectively to both internal and external threats.

It served as a reminder of the military’s crucial role in maintaining peace and security in Ghana.
