    A cargo truck which had reportedly lost control but eventually grinded to a half after it reversed into a VVIP bus on the Bolgatanga road on July 30, 2025.

    The incident, which allegedly occurred due to a brake failure, was quickly gained attention of netizens who have questioned the safety of citizens on roads in the country.

    The video showed the truck reversing backward at low speed in an attempt to stop the brakes before colliding with the VVIP bus with registration number GH 300-24 which was approaching from behind; despite attempts by the bus driver to avoid the crash.

    Fortunately, no casualties were recorded, according to a post on X by SikaOfficial on July 31, 2025.

    “A live video captured the dramatic moment a truck, after losing its brakes, suddenly reversed and collided with a VVIP bus, registered GH 300-24, yesterday on the Karemenga to Bolgatanga road,” the post stated.

    Authorities are currently investigating to ascertain the cause of the crash and also evaluate the extent of the damage.
