There were smiles, laughter, and high fives all around as the Black Stars assembled in Morocco ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.

A video released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) captured the team’s buoyant mood as players arrived at the camp in Casablanca on Sunday night, October 5, 2025.

From warm embraces to cheerful banter, the atmosphere reflected strong camaraderie and focus within Otto Addo’s squad.

The players were seen greeting one another with handshakes and hugs, showing clear signs of unity as Ghana prepares for the penultimate Group I fixture.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and Medeama midfielder Prince Owusu were among the first to arrive, joining the technical team and early arrivals before the full squad assembles.

The team will hold three training sessions in Morocco before the match at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Ghana currently tops Group I with 19 points and could seal qualification for the 2026 World Cup with a win, depending on other results.

After the clash against the Central African Republic, the Black Stars will return home to face Comoros in their final qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

For now, though, spirits are high, confidence is visible, and the players look ready to finish the job.
