Following Kumasi Asante Kotoko‘s 2-1 loss to Legon Cities in a Ghana Premier League match on 28 October 2024, frustrated supporters confronted club officials to express their dissatisfaction.

In a video shared by Adom TV on X, several upset fans were seen clashing with officials after the match. Police personnel quickly intervened to separate the fans from the officials, preventing the situation from escalating into a serious altercation.

The incident occurred after Kotoko’s first defeat of the season, which took place in week six of the league at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors, who had previously enjoyed a strong start, faced a disappointing night against Legon Cities.

Legon Cities took the lead in the 22nd minute through Albert Yeboah, setting the tone for a challenging game for Kotoko.

Despite their efforts, Kotoko only managed to equalise in the 76th minute through Albert Amoah, but Legon Cities sealed their victory with a late goal.

This defeat places Kotoko in second position on the league table with 15 points, while Legon Cities sit in seventeenth place with 5 points after eight matches.
