Following Evangelist Patricia Asiedua (Nana Agradaa)’s consistent act of covering her face during appearances in court, a situation that has raised questions in the minds of many, her recent court appearance has now captured her without a veil.
In a video shared on X on January 5, 2026, the convicted preacher, who is currently appealing her 15-year sentence before the Amasaman Circuit Court, appeared without the usual white fabric draped across her face.
She walked with her head held high as she was escorted by the police to the courtroom, unlike past instances where she would keep her head down in an attempt to hide her face.

Netizens, who couldn’t help but notice the development, have since shared their opinions after a video of her went viral.
Dressed in her usual white long-sleeved top, black skirt, and headscarf, this marks the first time netizens have seen her face-to-face since her conviction in July last year.
Background
Agradaa is currently serving her sentence at the Nsawam Female Prison after an Accra Circuit Court handed her a 15-year conviction on July 3, 2025, for charlatanic advertising and defrauding by false pretences.
She was accused of collecting various sums of money from church attendees after promoting supposed money-doubling powers.
Prosecutors based their case on her activities on Today’s TV and several social media platforms, where she advertised the scheme and encouraged the public to attend an all-night church service, promising to double their money through spiritual intervention.
More than 1,000 people reportedly attended the service and handed over large sums of cash. However, the promise was not fulfilled, leaving many financially distressed.

Agradaa and her lawyers subsequently filed an appeal and first appeared before the Amasaman High Court on December 4, 2025.
In her appeal documents, she argued that the trial was unfair, the evidence did not support the ruling, and the 15-year sentence was excessive.
