A monkey has ransacked the room of an Australian tourist at a luxury Bali villa, taking off with the guest’s AirPods and leaving the room in disarray.
Sydney office worker Jazz Walsh was getting a ‘relaxing’ massage when she received a video message from an employee of the Korowai resort in Uluwatu, Bali.
The video, which Ms Walsh shared to social media on Tuesday, depicted her dishevelled room where her belongings had been strewn across the floor.
‘Good afternoon, madam. I think a monkey (has come) through your room,’ the employee could be heard saying.
He said the monkey had likely gained access through a bathroom window before leaving a trail of destruction.
‘I’m afraid that the monkey were coming in from the outside going inside,’ he said.
Staff were alerted to the disturbance after discovering a pair of headphones which, the employee said, had been flung through the window.
Ms Walsh added her AirPods had been poached during the raid, claiming they must have been taken out of their case, which was left behind.

Aussie tourist Jazz Walsh was left stunned when her Bali villa was raided by a rogue monkey

Ms Walsh’s belongings were strewn throughout the room
‘(It) was hard to be annoyed when it was so funny,’ Ms Walsh wrote.
Cosmetics were left scattered across the bathroom floor and bags were left upturned throughout the bedroom.
‘Those silly cheeky Bali monkeys,’ Ms Walsh wrote alongside the video.
Viewers of the video were left stunned, with most taking the side of the monkey.
‘I don’t know what’s cuter – the monkey sneaking in or the sweet gentleman explaining the situation,’ one woman wrote.
The four-star resort is located steps away from the popular tourist spot, Bingin Beach, and features a sprawling terrace, garden and cliffside restaurant.
