The West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) has successfully completed critical maintenance work on its gas pipeline network, restoring supply to Ghana, Togo, and Benin.

    Key Maintenance Work:

    ✅ Offshore pipeline inspections

    ✅ Subsea valve replacements

✅ Upgrades at key points in Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, and Benin

Project Completion & Gas Flow Resumption

🔹 Gas transport was temporarily halted for four weeks to facilitate the repairs.

    WAPCo Leadership’s Statement

📢 Michelle Burkett, Managing Director of WAPCo, praised the team’s dedication:

“This was a complex project, but our team’s expertise ensured its success. While some countries faced temporary disruptions, we worked tirelessly to complete maintenance swiftly and safely. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

    Government & Stakeholder Support

Burkett also thanked the governments of Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, and Benin for their cooperation, acknowledging the roles of:

🔹 Regulatory agencies & maritime authorities

🔹 Local communities, gas distributors, and investors

WAPCo reaffirmed its commitment to reliable and efficient gas delivery across the region, ensuring energy stability for West Africa.
