The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central, Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the development of her constituency. Despite not yet holding the position of Member of Parliament, her impactful contributions in various sectors have made a significant difference in the lives of the people of Amenfi Central. Her philanthropic work spans key areas such as energy, water, and sanitation, reflecting her dedication to improving the well-being of her constituents.

In the energy sector, Mrs. Gyan Cudjoe has been instrumental in enhancing electricity infrastructure. She facilitated the replacement of power transformers in communities like Kyeikrom and Wuratrem Domeabra and donated street bulbs to the Kwamang Electoral Area, significantly improving safety and visibility. Her contributions extended to supporting religious institutions, where she sponsored the acquisition of an electricity meter for an Islamic group in Bantoma, ensuring uninterrupted power for their religious activities. Her efforts to improve electricity services also included replacing street bulbs in Beposo and fixing an electric pole in Tuntum.

In the realm of water and sanitation, Mrs. Gyan Cudjoe’s passion for providing clean water is evident in her funding of five mechanized boreholes across Agona Amenfi, Jeduakese, and Agona Nyamebekyere. She supported the mechanization of a borehole in Ohenekrom and donated a 5,000-litre poly tank to Ankamateng to assist with water storage. Additionally, she sponsored the repair of mechanized boreholes in Sraha-Yiem and Manhyia-Wuratrem, ensuring a consistent supply of potable water. Her contributions also include the completion of a borehole project in Kyeikrom.

Even before officially assuming the role of MP, Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s efforts have left an indelible mark on Amenfi Central. Her commitment to improving the quality of life in the constituency, through personal investments in energy, water, and sanitation, has earned her the admiration and support of the people. As the December 2024 elections approach, the residents of Amenfi Central are eager to vote for her, confident in her ability to drive further development and progress.
