In recent times, Ghanaians have consistently criticised individuals who engage in street racing on domestic roads.

Several videos shared online, as well as news reports, have shown sports cars involved in fatal accidents, with some even reduced to ashes.

In a latest video shared on Facebook and sighted by GhanaWeb on February 23, 2026, a group of individuals was seen recklessly racing on one of Accra’s roads.

The video captured an overspeeding Mercedes-Benz dangerously overtaking other vehicles.

Reacting to the development, Ghanaians have taken to social media to express frustration over the issue.

While some netizens called on the Ghana Police Service to tighten road safety protocols, others surprisingly expressed interest in participating in similar races.
