The studios of Angel FM Kumasi turned into a hotspot of drama on Friday, November 22, 2024, when popular Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale and award-winning MC/Hypeman, MC Portfolio, had a physical clash during the Angel Drivetime Show, hosted by Ike Unpredictable.

This happens to be the first time the two publicly confronted each other following their recent fallout.

The heated confrontation stemmed from Shatta Wale’s accusation that MC Portfolio had betrayed him during a segment on DJ Slim’s podcast.

According to the dancehall giant, MC Portfolio sat on the podcast and watched while DJ Slim “painted him black” without offering any defense.

Shatta Wale expressed his hurt, stating that he had expected more loyalty from someone he considered a close ally.

MC Portfolio, who was recently crowned the Best MC/Hypeman of the Year at the 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, offered his side of the story.

He explained that he refrained from intervening during the podcast because he felt caught between two proverbial elephants. “It was a battle of giants, and I didn’t want to risk being crushed in the middle,” he said, adding that his silence was not meant to endorse DJ Slim’s statements.

The clash, which initially appeared to escalate tensions, took a surprising turn when Ike Unpredictable stepped in to mediate.

In the end, both Shatta Wale and MC Portfolio aired their grievances, ultimately agreeing to let bygones be bygones.
